Suitable from 6 weeks to approx 5 months postnatal at the start of the course, following any kind of birth. If your baby is younger or older at the start of a course please contact me to chat about suitability for the course.

No yoga experience needed. Not suitable for crawling babies.

A caring, fun, safe baby class in Northwich for mums (or dads!) to enjoy an uninterrupted hour with your baby builds confidence in handling, understanding and bonding with your baby.

Classes are designed so that you can learn a head to toe Baby Massage routine to use at home which promotes loving touch and can help your little one with digestion, relaxation and sleep.

Classes also include a few simple stretches to ease out your shoulders and back, some soothing breathing techniques and a sprinkle of pelvic floor recovery exercises all to help your postnatal recovery.

You’ll also enjoy an introduction to a few gentle Baby Yoga movements which are a great follow on to Baby Massage and a good foundation for joining Mum and Baby Yoga classes.

…and as a member of Pregnancy, Baby and You Cheshire I can also signpost you to other local professionals in many other areas of prenatal (and postnatal) support.

Twin Baby Massage with Mum and Dad

Twins are very welcome, you can bring another carer with you if you wish.  Classes are not just for mums - Dads, Grandparents and other carers are always welcome.




Really great course to learn valuable techniques for relaxation, one to one contact with baby, and fun new things to try. We use the massage techniques with our bedtime routine every day and it really helps to prepare him for a nice long sleep.

What happens in a Baby Massage Class?

  • Centring, breath techniques to help you connect to your new postnatal body and soothe your mind and nervous system.

  • Learn to massage your baby’s chest and tummy, legs and feet, arms and hands, backs, head and face.  Learn the benefits that each of the strokes brings for your baby.

  • Techniques to support core and pelvic floor recovery.

  • Mindful practices to help you to bond with your baby/ies

  • Relaxation to soothe your body, balance out sleep loss and help your baby to relax with you

  • Songs and rhymes to accompany techniques and movements for baby.  This is not only fun but helps language development and communication. It can also help postnatal recovery as singing helps you to lengthen your exhale and balance your nervous system.

  • Crying, nappy changing, feeding, cuddling and soothing all happen throughout class as needed.  We’re baby led and babies communicating loudly or quietly is encouraged!

  • I include information and discussion about skills and techniques for postnatal recovery beyond yoga and signpost you to places and professionals that can help you further, including team members of Pregnancy Baby and You Cheshire.

  • Time in a non-judgemental space to chat and share milestones and the joys and challenges of being a new parent. Helping to build your support community at this magical but demanding time.   Biscuits included for social time at the end of class 😊

Breathing Space Yoga baby Massage class in Northwich


Classes are baby-led. Feeding, changing, crying, soothing and sometimes sleeping are all part of the flow of the class as each baby requires.
